UNCW alumni directors are looking for help with financial aid

Alumni directors at UNCW are saying a little goes a long way.

In these hard economic times, the university is turning to their alumni to help with financial aid for students who need it.

When an alumnus makes a donation to UNCW, the money goes straight to scholarship opportunities and other funding. The university said even small donations from recent grads will help contribute to the growing campus.

“We are very fortunate to have a very philanthropic student body, they understand the importance of supporting scholarships, as well as academic and program area,” said UNCW Vice Chancellor, Mary Gornto.

Despite the tough economic times, UNCW has seen a steady stream of alumni willing to give gifts.
