Senior Center hosts Seventh Annual Chocolate Festival
Hundreds of people in Wilmington had a sweet start to their weekend Friday night as the Seventh Annual Chocolate Festival kicked off with a gala at the New Hanover County Senior Center.
Attendees got to sample what will be featured at this weekend’s festival, which raises money for the senior center. The gala featured more than just chocolate; there was also food, drinks, live music and exhibitors showcasing clothing, jewelry, and more
Chocolate Festival Coordinator Gayle Ginsberg said, “I just want everyone to have a really, really good time and I want our exhibitors to be happy. That’s the most important thing to me when it gets down to it, that the exhibitors have a successful show.”
Organizers hope to top the $25,000 raised last year.
The Chocolate Festival will be at the senior center Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00 and Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00. Tickets are $8 at the door.
