NC bank employee follows suspects after robbery
GREENSBORO — Police say a North Carolina bank employee followed two robbery suspects and gave directions to officers, who had a running shootout that left an officer and the
suspects wounded. One of the suspects later died.
The News & Record of Greensboro reported Wednesday that police said the bank employee who helped Monday was a hero and the officers were brave for running into a gunfight. The robbery
happened about 5 p.m. at Lorillard Federal Credit Union.
Police say 22-year-old Dimarkchrisy Eddie Majors died early Tuesday. The other suspect remained in the hospital.
Police also said Officer Matt O’Hal was in stable conditions with a gunshot wound to the leg.
