Police investigating armed robbery at pizza place overnight

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after an armed robbery at a Wilmington pizza place overnight.

It happened just before 12:30 a.m. Friday at the Pizza Hut on S. 17th Street. Wilmington Police Spokeswoman Linda Rawley said that’s where a masked man entered the restaurant.

Rawley said the robber is described as a black man with dreads who is 5’9″ tall. Police said he was wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans with a bandanna with a skull design on it covering the lower half of his face.
