Car-theft suspect leads NC police on 25-mile chase
GREENSBORO — Police arrested a stolen car suspect after the driver led officers from five agencies on a 25-mile chase in North Carolina.
The News & Record of Greensboro reported Friday that the chase started Thursday in Greensboro when an officer saw a pickup truck with no license plate. A pickup matching its description had been reported stolen.
Highway Patrol Trooper C.D. Knox says the officer tried to stop the truck, but the driver sped away and headed out of Greensboro and Guilford County into Randolph County.
Officers punctured two of the truck’s tires at Randleman but it kept going into Asheboro where it crashed and the driver ran before officers caught him.
