Leland town council holds special meeting

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Leland Town Council members held a special meeting Saturday morning to prepare for the new year.

The meeting was held Saturday to give the council more time to plan.

Mayor Brenda Bozeman said they planned to discuss everything from traffic signs to the annual budget.

“We’ll come back together again in a few months to see how our goals are going and what we need to do to achieve them,” said Bozeman.

Bozeman says her some of her top goals included enhancing parks and the police department. At today’s meeting, new council members received training for being on the council.
