Garrett Perdue rejoining prestigious NC law firm

RALEIGH — Gov. Beverly Perdue’s son is returning to one of North Carolina’s most prestigious law firms.

Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice said Tuesday that Garrett Perdue will work on economic development projects in Raleigh and perform federal lobbying for the firm’s clients in Washington.

He’ll work on economic development issues at the firm with former Gov. Jim Hunt, a political mentor of his mother.

Garrett Perdue used to be an associate at the firm before joining a real estate company and working on his mother’s gubernatorial campaign for the past two years.
