WPD: Sunday shooting at convenience store started with domestic dispute
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are releasing new details about an incident Sunday night a Wilmington business.
Wilmington Police responded to the Sam Food Mart on Princess Place Drive around 8:30 p.m. They said William Mason II, 25, was shot in the face, and another man, Travis Crews, 36, was shot in the pelvis.
Police said the shooting started as a domestic dispute between Crews and a woman in the business. They said as the woman left, Crews went after her and shot at a vehicle with Mason inside. Police said Crews then shot himself in the hip.
The conditions of the men are not known at this time.
Charges are pending against Crews. There’s no word on any connection between the woman and the two men.
