Senior citizen booked on $1M bond after shooting
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Bladen County man was booked into jail yesterday under a $1 million bond after investigators say he shot two men in East Arcadia.
Clifford Graham, 75, of Riegelwood, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill after deputies arrested him on Graham and Young Road in East Arcadia.
Investigators say Bladen County EMS received a report of a shooting early Sunday afternoon. When deputies arrived, they learned two men had been shot, one in the foot and one in the knee. Investigators say Maurice Bowen, 40, and Gerald Holland, 58, were treated at area hospitals and released.
The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office says the exact motive for the shooting has not been determined, but that alcohol played a role.
Graham was booked into the Bladen County Jail Sunday afternoon under a $1 million ahead of his first appearance today.
