NC police search for restaurant robbery shooters
CHARLOTTE — Police are investigating a robbery and shooting at a Charlotte restaurant where two employees were killed in an attack 18 months ago.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Capt. Jeff Pless said a manager was wounded in the Sunday night robbery at Moe’s Southwest Grill in the city’s Dilworth section.
Police say the manager was shot in the foot during the 10:40 p.m. robbery and described her injury as superficial.
Pless said the restaurant had closed when two or three men entered, one carrying a rifle and another a machete.
Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the store but haven’t described the suspects.
Two employees were shot to death during a robbery at the same store in October 2007.
