ILM cancels flights Wednesday over safety concerns

Safety concerns at a regional airline carrier grounded some passengers at ILM Wednesday.

Atlantic Southeast Airlines, a carrier for Delta flights in and out of Wilmington, grounded sixty flights due to safety concerns.

Airport director Jon Rosborough said ILM had already had to cancel three flights Wednesday. He was not sure if flights will continue to be cancelled through Thursday.

Phone calls to the airline for details about the security scare were not returned.
