Disaster money unlikely for Cumberland County residents

Cumberland County residents are picking up the pieces after a tornado swept through the area last week.

Some people said they desperately need help, but can’t get any.

More than a dozen homes were damaged or destroyed, but emergency management officials say the damage wasn’t severe enough to qualify the county for state or federal disaster money.

The damage estimates have been sent to state disaster officials, but Cumberland County officials say any financial aid is unlikely.
