Lane closures on Interstate 85 for Easter weekend

RALEIGH — Motorists using Interstate 85 in North Carolina will encounter lane closures during the Easter holiday weekend.

The state Department of Transportation said there will be a lane closure planned for northbound Interstate 85 between mile markers 206 and 214 in Vance County for pavement repair.

Another lane closure involves one of three lanes closed on both northbound and southbound lanes at the interchange with N.C. 62 at exit 113 in Guilford County because of construction of the U.S. 311 Bypass.

DOT officials said no work will occur during the holiday. However, the right lane in each direction will remain closed.

Construction work will be suspended on interstate and U.S. routes beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday and continuing until 9 a.m. Monday, April 13.
