Small NC town reports first homicide in 25 years
ROLESVILLE, N.C. — Police in a small town not far from Raleigh say they are investigating their first homicide in 25 years.
Rolesville Police Chief Tim Stoker told The News & Observer of Raleigh that the man was found dead Tuesday in an undeveloped subdivision.
Investigators say they have not identified the victim and are awaiting autopsy results to determine exactly how he died.
Stokes says this is the first homicide in the town of 2,200 people about 15 miles northeast of Raleigh since a murder-suicide 25 years ago.
