Fundraising page set up to help dog’s recovery after attack

WILMINGTON,  NC (WWAY) — As a dog continues to recover from a brutal stabbing, a fundraising page has been set up to help cover some of her vet costs.

Daisy was attacked last week by a woman in New Hanover County, deputies said. They said it’s a miracle the English Bulldog survived the event and she is now eating and was released from the Animal Trauma Center Monday.

Deputies said her original owner, the man who was the boyfriend of the woman charged in the attack, released custody of the pup to his ex-wife, Sheila Kozlowski. Now she needs help covering some of the costs of Daisy’s care.
