Defend Freedom Tour visits Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Concerned Veterans for America has been touring the country and made a stop in Wilmington Saturday.

The group hosted a breakfast with local veterans to encourage them to continue their service after service. Karen Vaughn, who lost her Navy SEAL son Aaron, spoke at the Saturday breakfast. Vaughn will also speak at the organization’s dinner tonight at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside.

Veteran Cody McGregor said the group has a mission to mobilize with their Defend Freedom Tour.

“Our mission is to fight for and protect the freedoms and liberties that we fought for in uniform, and we do so by mobilizing veterans, military families and patriots across the country,” McGregor said.
