Jeff Gordon hosts Shred It

Dozens of people came out to Jeff Gordon Chevrolet Saturday for Shred It.

People lined up to have personal documents like pay stubs, bank information, and old receipts properly shredded.

Sarah McCurry of Sunset Beach said protecting themselves from identity theft is one of the reasons the came out. “I just retired last year and had a lot of real estate files that had to be shredded. Also, we’ve moved and had quite a few things, so the back end of our 4-Runner was packed with boxes to the ceiling.”

Cintas Service used its professional shredders to destroy the documents.
