Carolina Beach doctor surrenders license

A Carolina Beach doctor has surrendered her medical license in the face of an investigation.

As of last Tuesday, Sara Lynn Christiansen, was no longer allowed to practice medicine.

Her specialty is internal medicine, and she worked for Seaside Internal Medicine in Carolina Beach.

A phone message at the office says it is closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Christiansen “voluntarily surrendered” her license. The state medical board said that happens during or pending an investigation.

WWAY called Christiansen today. She had no comment.
