Part of Wilmington road closing, affecting residents

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Crews working to fix flooding issues on a Wilmington road are planning to close a portion of the street.

According to a city spokeswoman, part of Brenda Drive will be closed for a week starting tomorrow. During the closure, residents of Englewood Drive will need to use Oleander Drive to get home.

According to a release, the $400,000 project will replace aging pipes and improve ditches prone to flooding. The entire project will be complete in May.
