Fire out at Victaulic plant near Leland

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Firefighters have put out a fire at a factory near Leland.

Leland Fire Chief John Grimes says the fire broke out this afternoon inside a machine inside Victaulic off US 74/76.

Employees were evacuated from the building as smoke started to fill the plant. No one was hurt.

Four fire departments responded, Grimes said.
