Hundreds get colorful to fight childhood obesity

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Hundreds of people braved a chilly morning in Leland for a colorful good time.

The Search 5K Color Run dusted participants as they trekked through Brunswick Forest.

The free event was put together by WWAY Extraordinary Person Nick Westfall. It aimed to get families active and help the fight against childhood obesity.

Organizers have another free color run scheduled next Saturday in Holden Beach.
