Shot fired into 2-year-old’s bedroom

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating after they say a shot was fired into a child’s bedroom.

WPD spokeswoman Linda Rawley says an officer was on Market St. around 11 p.m. Friday when he heard shots fired from Princess Place Drive. A woman flagged the officer down and said she was in bed on Prices Lane, when she heard three or four gunshots. When she went to check on her 2-year-old son, she found a bullet on the floor of his room.

Investigators found shell casings on Mosely Street.
