Schools locked down as police search for pharmacy robber
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — An armed robbery at a Wilmington pharmacy led to a lockdown at nearby schools this morning.
Wilmington Police say they are looking for a man who robbed Kings Pharmacy at S. College Road and Shipyard Blvd. The suspect is described as a white male, 5’6″ with facial hair, wearing khaki pants, a long-sleeve gray shirt and a baseball cap. Police say he left on a mountain bike heading north near Hugh MacRae Park.
Hoggard High School and Roland Grise Middle School were locked down for a short time as a precaution while police investigated.
