Police investigating after two shot in Whiteville

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Whiteville Police are investigating a shooting that left two people hurt Tuesday night.

A city spokesman said it happened around 7 p.m. in the 300 block of Rosemary Street. The spokesman said both victims were treated at the hospital and released.

The spokesman said one of the victims was shot in the leg and the other was shot in the butt.

Police are pursing leads, but there’s no word on how the shooting happened, according to the spokesman.
