Miss USA returns home

Wilmington native Kristen Dalton won the Miss USA title last month and this afternoon she made her first public appearance in Wilmington since winning the crown in Las Vegas.

Kristen Dalton’s entrance was grand enough for a queen. She made an elegant arrival at Riverfront Park with a cruise down the Cape Rear River on the Henrietta III.

Her presence caused quite a commotion; after all, it’s not every day Miss USA cruises into the Port City.

It will be a busy week for Miss USA as she visits several area schools. She’s also scheduled to appear at Thalian Hall tonight.

Dalton will compete for the Miss Universe title in August.
