Deputies investigate body found in Columbus County

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found this afternoon.

According to a news release, deputies found the body of a female around 2:30 p.m. in woods in Tabor City.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Raleigh. The sheriff’s office said no other information is available at this time.
