Police find truck, still looking for driver in ambulance hit-and-run

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say they’ve located a truck they believe was involved in a hit-and-run with an ambulance over the weekend.

A spokeswoman, though, says at this time, the driver has still not been located.

Police were looking for a pick-up they say hit an ambulance heading to Cape Fear Memorial Hospital early Sunday morning while a patient was inside. Police say the crash happened at the intersection of Hawthorne Drive and Park Avenue.
