Man pleads guilty in restaurant, grocery store robberies

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man is headed to prison following the guilty pleas of several crimes in New Hanover County.

Jamie Michael Davis, 29, pleaded guilty to robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and numerous other offenses. From April to July of last year, Davis stole items from people in the Wilmington area, including his own family members. He was also charged with taking purses from elderly women who were grocery shopping.

Davis also robbed the Carolina Barbecue restaurant on North College Road on July 20, 2015.

He was sentenced to between six and nine years in prison.
