Nonprofit searching for 500 workers in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE — A housing assistance nonprofit is holding a job fair in North Carolina’s largest city to immediately hire 500 workers as part of an expansion.
The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America said it will hold a jobs fair Friday and Saturday at its counseling center in Charlotte. Officials said Thursday that the nonprofit wants to add more than 1,000 jobs over the next five years.
The jobs will pay an average annual wage of $35,982, and the state will provide $1 million in incentives to bring the work to North Carolina.
The Boston-based nonprofit provides counseling and aid to those with poor credit, and it offers loans with no down payments or closing costs.
