Mosley students graduate

Friday night, Mosley Performance Learning Center kicked off the weekend’s graduation ceremonies at the Minnie Evans Performing Arts Center as 28 students graduated from the non-traditional high school.

Mary Mosley herself was part of the ceremony.

The students say the school has been a great fit for them.

“It helped me out, I got to graduate a year early. It taught me a lot… it helped me. I was behind, and it caught me back up,” said Gerrad Strickland.

“It was a wonderful time, because I have a child and they cut my hours and let me do at my pace; and I just loved the school, it was wonderful,” added Shameika Rivers.

Many of the graduates have plans to attend Cape Fear Community College while others have been accepted to various colleges and universities throughout the state.
