WPD: Man wrestles gun from intruder, holds him for police
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police said an armed man entered a Wilmington home late last night and had his gun taken from him by the tenant who waited for officers.
Julius Ervin Jones, 37, is facing charges including two counts of attempted first-degree murder. He’s in jail under a $2 million bond.
A Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman said Jones was armed with a gun when he entered a home in the 5800-block of Wrightsville Ave. at 11: 30 p.m. and confronted two men. Two shots were fired, but the two men inside the home were not hit.
