Sheriff’s Office: Dad to destroy BB gun after 11 year old brings it to Myrtle Grove Middle School
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A gun was confiscated from a student at Myrtle Grove Middle School on Tuesday.
A spokesman with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office says an 11-year-old boy brought a BB gun to Myrtle Grove Middle School on Tuesday morning.
The child’s parents came to the school to retrieve the weapon. According to the sheriff’s office’s spokesman, the father says he is going to destroy the gun.
The child is facing punishment from the school level.
No one was injured and no one is facing criminal charges.
