Be careful which tweets you click on
If you tweet, be warned. Published reports say cyber criminals are targeting the popular web-messaging service Twitter to direct users to websites that sell porn, fake drugs and fake anti-virus subscriptions.
Messages on Twitter, or tweets, are limited to 140 characters, which is why many tweets include shortened url’s to link people to web pages with more information, or in this case-unfiltered content.
Security experts advise Twitterers to use anti-virus protection, install Windows, Apple, Adobe, and Java updates and be careful clicking on suspicious links from users you don’t know.
