CFCC Summer Graduation Ceremony

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Another group of graduates gathered in the Schwartz Center Friday night to receive their associates degree from Cape Fear Community College.

Surrounded by their loved ones, the Class of 2014 walked across the stage eager for the future. One veteran says going to college was her first step back into civilian life and that finishing school was always her plan.

“Well, I was in school before the army and I just didn’t finish,” Erica Jester said. “So, there was no doubt that I was going to go back when I got out.”

Jester plans on getting her bachelor’s degree at UNCW studying political science.
