Candlelight vigil for shooting victim
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Family and friends gathered to remember the life of Julian Jerrod Gibson Tuesday night.
Gibson was shot and killed in Garden Lake early Saturday morning. No arrest has been made.
His loved ones are looking for answers and closure as they mourn their loss.
“Don’t know why you did it. But I forgive you and I really do forgive you,” Phyllis Gibson, his aunt, said. “Because I serve God and he is a forgiving God. All I ask you to do is to turn yourself in, so no more violence can come of this.”
The family asks that if anyone has any information on the death of Gibson, that they call the Wilmington Police department.
