NC police investigate prostitution ads on Web site
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – More than a dozen people have been arrested in a North Carolina prostitution investigation involving use of the Web site Craigslist.
Multiple media outlets reported that most of the arrests occurred last week at motels along the Interstate 77 corridor in Charlotte. Police Capt. Mike Adams said most of the prostitutes
were from out of town, but didn’t say if customers also were arrested.
Adams says prostitution contributes to other crimes and the investigation is continuing.
