3 men plead to running meth lab in NC dorm room

BUIES CREEK, N.C. — Three men have pleaded guilty to charges associated with operating a methamphetamine lab in a vacant North Carolina university dormitory room.

The Fayetteville Observer reported Wednesday that U.S. Attorney George E.B. Holding said the lab was discovered last fall when Hoke County authorities responded to a fire alarm at Campbell University.

Holding says 29-year-old Steven Michael Cole of Siler City, 33-year-old Victor Wesley Evans Jr. of Benson and 26-year-old Wesley Craig Hickman of Dunn pleaded guilty to federal charges.
They will be sentenced in October and face prison sentences of 10 or more years and fines.
