Woman wanted in Leland theft

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Leland Police said they’re looking for a woman accused of cashing stolen checks and stealing items from a car.

Police said a victim reported a car break-in in the 2000-block of Olde Regent Way on January 15. They said that victim reported three unauthorized checks were cashed the next day. The amount was around $2,800, police said.

The victim also said items were taken from the car. Anyone with information is asked to call the Leland Police Department.
