Food truck rodeo raises money for skate park

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Foodies and families gathered today for the Ogden Park Food Truck Rodeo.

From doughnuts to Cajun food there were flavors to suit everyone’s appetite. Proceeds will support the public and private partnership to build Ogden skate park. New Hanover County Parks and Gardens director Tara Duckworth said it’s important to diversify the park.

“It’s important to have the traditional soccer fields and other athletic fields, but it’s also important to have more diverse opportunities and skateparks,” Duckworth said.

The food truck rodeo is held twice a year at the park.
