GREENVILLE, NC (WWAY) — East Carolina sophomore wide receiver Daquan Barnes is listed out for ECU’s next football game, but we understand the former New Hanover standout will have to miss the entire 2014 season due to recent surgery on his herniated disc. East Carolina head coach Ruffin McNeill reflected on the sensitive medical issue at his weekly news conference. “Daquan is not only in good hands, but the best hands here in Greenville,” McNeill said. “Top flight administrators in the medical field here in Greenville, top flight doctors, Daquan’s not just in good hands, but great hands and the same people who work on coach Ruff, work on Daquan.”
