Governor to unveil transportation vision in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Gov. Pat McCrory will unveil his vision for transportation tomorrow during a statewide tour that starts in Wilmington.

Transportation Secretary Tony Tata will also take part in the trip to announce the Governor’s 25-Year Vision. The governor’s office says the vision is a comprehensive transportation plan for North Carolina.

“A strong transportation and infrastructure plan supports economic growth, makes travel simpler and easier for citizens and visitors, attracts businesses and encourages investments in our state,” McCrory said in a statement. “This plan is innovative and dynamic and encourages engagement among North Carolinians to ensure that our transportation vision becomes a reality.”

McCrory and Tata will meet with reporters tomorrow morning at Wilmington International Airport. They will then travel to Greenville, Winston-Salem and Asheville.
