Missing woman found safe

UPDATE: The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says Sandra Maske Benson has been found safe in Rockingham.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a missing woman who suffers from dementia.

Sandra Maske Benson, 56, was seen at her home on Holden Beach Road in Supply today around 9:50 a.m. She is a white female, 5’2″ tall and weighs 102lbs. She has short brown hair and hazel eyes.

Benson is driving a white, 2011 Nissan Frontier King Cab pick up truck with NC tag AHP-7491. She may be heading to her daughter’s home on McGee Road in Rockingham. According to investigators, she would typically stop at a convenience store called “Sun Do” on the way. “Sun Do” is about 20 miles from I-95 near Boardman.

Benson has several medical concerns including dementia.
