Teens charged in high school break-in


LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Three teens are facing charges in a high school break-in. Police said they’re looking for a fourth suspect too.

Leland Police said a break-in at North Brunswick High School was reported April 9. They said items including an X-Box 360, games, a portable speaker and other items were removed from the area.

Police said Robert Mitchell Evans, 17, and Patrick Scot Darrow, 16 were arrested yesterday and are facing felony B&E, conspiracy and larceny charges. A third suspect, Kai’son Nasir Penn, 17, is facing a misdemeanor charge. A Brunswick County Schools spokeswoman said the teens are students at NBHS.

Police said they are still looking to identify another person involved in the incident.
