Christmas tree to be planted at Legion Stadium

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington non-profit is planning to plant a new Christmas tree for the City, but it needs help from citizens.

According to a news release by Wilmington City Progress, Inc., the tree will be planted at Legion Stadium but will not take up any existing parking spots. A spokesman from the non-profit said they now need to raise the funds to plant the tree. A spokesman said they need about $15,000 to purchase and plant the tree, and they plan to plant it once they have the money.
