Man dies in waters off of Carolina Beach
CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Officials said a Charlotte man died over the weekend in the waters off of Carolina Beach.
The incident was reported in the 400 block of Carolina Beach Ave. North yesterday afternoon around 2:20 p.m. A police spokesperson said when they arrived, some Good Samaritans pulled Joshua William Baker out of the waters and were trying to help him. First responders also began CPR but Baker did not survive.
Investigators do not suspect foul play. They are waiting on results from the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine cause of death.
