Students at Calvary Christian remember September 11th
Students and staff at one Wilmington school took time out of their day to remember, and remind others to do the same.
Students from Calvary Christian School waved American flags and held signs outside their school on North 23rd Street, encouraging drivers to honor the day with them.
Supporters beeped their horns as they drove by.
“We want them to know that we still remember September 11th and it’s an important day to celebrate and remember all those people that died that day,” said Calvary 6th grader Will Lewis.
Before heading outside, the students gathered to sing and pray. They also watched a slideshow and learned about what happened on September 11th, 2001.
