NC teen shot at school bus stop
CHARLOTTE — Police say a 15-year-old pregnant teenager has been shot as she waited at a North Carolina school bus stop.
Police spokesman Rob Tufano says Tiffany Wright was found in the street by a relative early Monday. The shooting happened before dawn as the teen stood at a bus stop in north Charlotte.
Tufano says the girl was shot in the head and rushed to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment.
He says investigators have not determined a motive.
Tufano says a relative had just walked the victim to the bus stop and went back home. He says the relative heard at least three gunshots and went outside to find the victim in the street.
Tufano says the girl attends a special needs school.
