Two arrested after downtown Wilmington home invasion

Two men are behind bars after what began as a tense situation Monday night in Wilmington.

The call came in as a possible hostage situation. Police said it was actually a home invasion/armed robbery in the 1400 block of Seventh Street.

A man inside was pistol whipped but was not hospitalized. The suspects ran when police arrived, but were caught a block away.

Police arrested 18-year-old Tyquan Lane and 30-year-old Troy Akheem Wilson.

Lane is in jail under a $500,000 bond. Wilson’s bond is $375,000.

Both men face multiple charges including robbery, assault and kidnapping.
