NC agency shows Chinese how jobless get help
RALEIGH — Nearly 30 members of the Chinese government will meet staff at the state Employment Security Commission to learn how the agency works with job seekers, businesses and the unemployed.
The meeting will be held Friday at the ESC’s main office in Raleigh.
The Chinese officials are participating in a five-month program at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University in Durham. Senior program coordinator Jason Kulasingam says the Chinese learn how to be better government officials and administrators by getting tools for policy making and policy analysis.
They work with faculty at the Sanford school, at Duke and at other area universities.
