Police: Wilmington woman charged in stabbing, tire slashing
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington woman is facing assault charges after she stabbed another woman, according to a WPD spokeswoman.
Alicia Dikish Branham, 25, was arrested last night in the 2100-block of 17th Street. Police said a woman was leaving for work when Branham pulled her vehicle behind the victim’s car. That’s when they said Branham started slashing the victim’s tires.
The spokeswoman said when the woman confronted Branham, she began stabbing her. They said the woman was able to get the knife away from Branham, who then took off.
Police said the victim called officers and was taken to the hospital by EMS with several stab wounds to her head and torso.
Branham is facing charges including assault with a deadly weapon and injury to personal property. She is being held under a $151,000 bond.
